THE NEIGHBORHOOD CURBSIDE CANVAS PROJECT - IF YOUR AN BUSINESS OR ARTIS GET INVOLVED TODAY

THE NEIGHBORHOOD CURBSIDE CANVAS PROJECT is an urgent, grassroots, non-profit effort, pairing struggling Lower Manhattan restaurants with local artists for the purposes of driving greater interest, energy, traffic and business back into our COVID-coping neighborhood. Together, the restaurants and artists will transform a growing number of raw curbside popup dining patios into pieces of street art.

This is an URGENT initiative, as the official temporary allowance for outdoor dining is set to expire October 31. We need to get new art on these outdoor patios extremely quickly in order for the effort to be of help to our neighborhood's restaurants before the outdoor shutdown occurs.

● Create an outdoor gallery with dedicated social media

● Create an art trail, walking tours and location maps

● Create free video content/documentary for promotion for both establishment and artist’s social media ● When COVID is finally over, auction the art pieces to support the establishments and artists

● More awareness and foot traffic increasing business potential for the restaurants

● Greater exposure and media attention for the artists

● Makes the neighborhood a ‘destination’

● Keeps these mom and pop businesses open for the good of the neighborhood
