  • Merchant Members hold voting rights and elect directors at the annual meeting. They help shape district-wide decisions, which is why we verify that each applicant is an active business owner within Tribeca. The application is brief and ensures fairness, transparency, and accurate representation of our merchant community.

    • Merchant Members, Class A - are for business owners operating within Tribeca.

    • Community Members, Class B - are for Tribeca based local non-profits and institutions who want to support the neighborhood.

    • Supporters, Class C - are individuals, or non-profits and organizations located outside Tribeca who want to stay informed and involved without formal membership responsibilities.

  • Yes. Both membership types are open enrollment. You can join instantly by completing a short form.

  • Merchant Members receive the highest level of access and involvement, including:

    • Voting rights and participation in the annual meeting

    • Leadership eligibility

    • Priority access to events and campaigns

    • Business visibility tools & promotional support

    • Participation in policy, revenue, and district-wide initiatives

    • Ability to serve on committees

  • Community Members stay connected and engaged through event invitations, spotlights, committee participation (non-voting), and opportunities to support beautification, advocacy, and neighborhood improvement initiatives.

  • Supporters receive updates, event invitations, and opportunities to volunteer or assist with special initiatives.

  • Yes. If your circumstances change (for example, you open a business in Tribeca), you may transition to a different membership category at any time. Merchant Membership transitions simply require completing the application.

  • All Merchant Members may join for a flat $400 from January through March 2026. Tiered pricing begins April 1, 2026, with rates based on business size.

    • Tier 1: Small shops & sole practitioners — $400

    • Tier 2: Medium-sized shops & larger service businesses — $800

    • Tier 3: Larger companies — $1,200

  • Membership dues support neighborhood improvement projects, marketing and advocacy efforts, merchant visibility initiatives, public programming, and the day-to-day operations that keep the Alliance active and effective.
