Tribeca Alliance Partners with Pull City to Build the Neighborhood’s First AI-Powered Concierge

Forward-thinking partnership will launch publicly on May 16 at the Taste of Tribeca festival, with Laughing Man Coffee as the inaugural participating merchant.

NEW YORK, NY — The Tribeca Alliance Merchants Association (TAMA) today announced a strategic partnership with Pull City, the Brooklyn-based platform building Manhattan’s first neighborhood AI concierge. The collaboration will launch publicly on Saturday, May 16, at the 26th annual Taste of Tribeca festival, where Tribeca residents, workers, and visitors will be the first to experience the new platform.

Inspired by Pull City’s recent rollout with the DUMBO Business Improvement District, the Tribeca initiative introduces an intuitive, AI-powered platform that responds to user interests in real time. The platform will guide foot traffic to local merchants and make discovering Tribeca’s retail, dining, and service offerings easier than ever. A full neighborhood-wide rollout is planned for Summer 2026.

The partnership positions Tribeca at the forefront of how commercial districts can integrate artificial intelligence into placemaking and small business support. By combining technology with on-the-ground merchant engagement, TAMA aims to strengthen neighborhood identity, expand visibility for small businesses, and ensure broad participation across the district. Inclusion in the platform will serve as a key benefit of active TAMA membership.

“This partnership is about shaping a model for AI that is place-based and built to strengthen local economies. Working with TAMA as a design partner allows us to help establish a new standard for how discovery, visibility, and opportunity function at the neighborhood level.” — Paul Johnson, Co-Founder, Pull City

“We’re building something that puts real, recurring value into the hands of the people who live and work in Tribeca — and gives our businesses a direct line to the customers who matter most. This Saturday at Taste of Tribeca, Tribeca will see exactly what we mean.” — Christine Cole, Marketing Chair, Tribeca Alliance

“This marks an exciting step forward for Tribeca. TAMA is proud to partner with a growing, home-grown New York City technology company to introduce a strategy that blends innovation with economic growth. New technologies like Pull City show how established neighborhoods like Tribeca can evolve thoughtfully — strengthening local businesses while preserving the character that makes them unique.” — Christopher Bruno, Secretary of the Board, Tribeca Alliance, and Chief of Economic Development Programs and Strategies, New York Law School

Laughing Man Coffee, the Tribeca cafe founded by Hugh Jackman, will serve as the inaugural participating merchant when the platform launches on May 16.

“We’ve always believed in showing up for our community. This partnership lets us do that in a real way — and lets us be in conversation with our neighbors year-round, not just when they walk through our door.” — David Steingard, Owner, Laughing Man Coffee, and Board Member, Tribeca Alliance

This project is made possible, in part, by a Merchant Organizing Grant from the New York City Department of Small Business Services, supporting TAMA’s mission to organize, promote, and advocate for Tribeca’s diverse business community.

The public launch will take place at the Tribeca Alliance station in Washington Market Park on Saturday, May 16, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, as part of the 26th annual Taste of Tribeca festival.
